  106.                     The Loan Chief Lite - Program Overview
  107.  
  108. Loan calculating has never been this easy!  Loan Chief is a financial
  109. software program designed with ease and flexibility in mind. It comes
  110. complete with a variety of loan tools for calculating Loan Amortization
  111. Schedules, Loan Charts and Loan Calculators for solving for missing
  112. values. Each financial tool contains a variety of options to allow
  113. maximum flexibility.

  115. The Loan Amortization tool allows variable payments, interest rates and
  116. compounding methods.  Professional schedules can be generated with
  117. monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual detail.  Special options are
  118. available to illustrate the savings incurred with an early payoff of a
  119. loan.  Several predefined acceleration methods are available in addition
  120. to a variable payment which allows optimum flexibility.  Accelerated
  121. schedules can be illustrated side by side with the original schedule.
  122. Another special option is the ability to show tax savings with
  123. mortgages.

  125. The Loan Chart tool produces a chart of loan values based on the
  126. criteria you select.  You select the type of loan values you want
  127. computed--it may be loan payments, loan principal amounts, months in a
  128. loan or the interest rate.  Once you choose what you want to solve for,
  129. you enter one of the remaining loan values as a constant and the other
  130. two as a range of values. A chart is produced solving for all loan
  131. values specified in the ranges.

  133. Loan Chief is a menu driven program that also contains an on-line manual
  134. and individual help for each input to allow the user to easily navigate
  135. and understand the program. Configuration options are available for
  136. selecting screen colors and printers.

  138.                             The Loan Chief Professional

  140. The following is a list of features found in the "Professional" version
  141. of the Loan Chief which are not found in the "Lite" version.

  143. * Contains the ability to add a client name to the schedule.
  144. * Contains the ability to add an agent name to the schedule.
  145. * Contains the ability to add 3 permanent header lines and 3 permanent
  146.   footer lines.  These can be used for company name, address, phone
  147.   number or anything.
  148. * Contains the ability to add additional footnotes to appear on all
  149.   pages or just on the last page of a schedule.
  150. * Contains the ability to turn bolding on or off for schedule totals,
  151.   headers and footers.
  152. * Contains an enhanced filing system where information can be saved for
  153.   multiple clients.
  154. * Contains the ability to set defaults for the schedule printing
  155.   options. These include the "Print Destination", "Schedule Detail",
  156.   "Yearly Basis", "Cumulative Values", "Cumulative Totals", "Dollar
  157.   Values", "Date Format" and "Sequence Column".  Your preferred setting
  158.   of these options can be set and will be saved so that these options
  159.   are the default options every time that the program is run.

  171. The Loan Chief is a shareware program.  This evaluation version
  172. includes all features of the Lite version of the program, and is not
  173. crippled in any way. You may use it for up to 30 days, without charge.
  174. If you like the program, and wish to continue its use after this
  175. evaluation period, you are required to pay for the program (see
  176. ORDER.TXT for more details). Any fee you may have paid to others (disk
  177. vendors, dealers, etc.) to obtain this evaluation version was a fee for
  178. their copying and distribution services, rather than a payment for
  179. continued use of the program.

  183. The Loan Chief can be registered with Insight Software Solutions
  184. with a check, money order, VISA or MasterCard in the amount of $15.00
  185. U.S. for the "Lite" version or $25.00 U.S. for the "Professional"
  186. version plus shipping and handling. Please refer to the address and
  187. phone numbers listed above. Upon receipt, you will be sent the latest
  188. version of the Loan Chief. (The professional version includes a printed
  189. manual.) Once registered, you will receive notification of major updates
  190. and new products. Registration includes a 90 day support policy where
  191. free updates will be provided for major problems. If a problem cannot be
  192. resolved, then a refund of money will be made.

  227. The Loan Chief may be run from either a floppy or hard disk. An
  228. installation program called INSTALL.EXE is provided to assist you in the
  229. installation of the program on a hard drive.  To install the program,
  230. insert the floppy disk in drive A (or drive B). From the A> prompt (or
  231. B>), simpy type "Install".  This will prompt you through the
  232. installation process.  Alternatively, you may simply copy the contents
  233. of the floppy disk onto the hard disk.  We recommend that it be placed
  234. into its own subdirectory.
